Instrumentation Therapy

  • 02 Dec 2021
  • 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
  • Zoom and Bar Elevate: 2831 W. 120th Ave # 200, Westminster, CO 80234

Do you have lab instrumentation that is driving you crazy? Calibrations don’t work one day then mysteriously come in the next? Membranes require too frequent changing? The maintenance is much more than you envisioned when purchasing your equipment? Would you like to be able to vent and get all those frustrations off your chest? We have just the thing for you! The fourth quarter installment of our Lab Instrumentation Series will provide instrumentation therapy. This will be a chance for everyone to discuss their frustrations with their equipment without the concern of hurting any manufacturers feelings or making anyone feel uncomfortable. This open forum will allow analysts to learn troubleshooting methods from other labs and provide a safe space to discuss instrumentation problems. This session might also inform the direction of future lab instrumentation sessions. Come to the session with your lab’s answer to these two questions:

  1. What single piece of lab equipment causes the most delays and/or headaches in your lab?
  2. What piece of equipment would you most like to replace if funding was not an issue?
This free session will take place in-person just before the annual RMWQAA/Lab Practices Committee Joint Holiday Social at Bar Elevate in Broomfield, CO. Can’t make it in-person? A computer will be set-up so attendees can also participate virtually via Zoom. The Instrumentation Therapy session will begin at 3:30 pm and the social will kick-off at 4:30 pm.
